Food and drink
Your child can have a cooked meal or a selection from Cool Art Cafe (sandwiches/jacket potatoes) provided by our caterers. Alternatively you can provide a packed lunch for your child.
All EYFS and Key Stage 1 pupils will receive a school lunch without the need for parents to pay. This is because the school accesses the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals Scheme. The cost of a school meal is £2.96 per day or £14.80 per week for KS2 pupils. Dinner money must be paid, in advance, via ParentPay. https://app.parentpay.com/
Free School Meals
Many of our families could get Free School Meals but do not claim for them; your child(ren) may be entitled to Free School Meals if you, as the parent, are in receipt of any of the following benefits:
- Income Support
- Jobseeker’s Allowance (income based)
- Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit or Child Tax Credit (but NOT Working Tax Credit)
Why claim?
- Save hundreds of pounds per year
- Extra funding for the school in the form of Pupil Premium
- Other pupils and parents will not know you are claiming
Free School Meals
We now aim to check eligibility for free school meals for all students when they start at the school to ensure we can provide free school meals to all who qualify.
We use the Online Free School Meal (OFSM) system which checks and confirms to you and the school whether you are eligible or not. Even if your child is not eligible now, the system continues to check and will notify you and the school if your child becomes eligible in the future.
If you do not believe you have provided the relevant details to enable us to check eligibility on your behalf, you can apply yourself.
