Who are the Friends?

We are parents, grandparents and carers of Newby & Scalby school children. We raise money to improve the facilities at the school and enjoy ourselves in the process by organising events for both adults and children.

When do we meet?

We aim to meet on two/three evenings a term in school. Meetings are informal and relaxed and we are delighted to see new people, so do come along, we always want new ideas.

We organise a wide range of fundraising events including:

If you have any ideas, please join us and help us to raise even more funds for the benefit of all the children!

What have we raised money for in the past?

We have helped to purchase resources that have made a difference to school life.

The Library next to the main hall was built with money raised by the Friends and we have provided several computers for the school and lots of software.

We would love more of you to join us as friends, if you are interested, please download our information leaflet >
